libfdt-dev software package provides Flat Device Trees manipulation library - development files, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libfdt-dev
libfdt-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libfdt-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libfdt-dev *
You will get with libfdt-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
